The foresight of Thomas Edison was spot on in summing up the philosophy of many chiropractors. I believe that this is exactly what I am called to do…
- To provide chiropractic care through adjustments and exercise instruction (care of the human frame)
- To give direction on ways to eat healthy and/or weight loss (diet)
- To education on reduction of stress and lifestyle changes (cause and preven-tion of disease)
At ProActive Health, we believe in challenging the status quo, thinking differently and looking at the WHOLE you, not just at your presenting symptoms.
We challenge the status quo is by…
- Listening to what you have to say and also to what your body is saying
- Having a caring and friendly team
- Having a warm and inviting environment
- Having easy to use electronic health documentation
We understand you’re hurting and our approach is simple…
We align the whole you not just treat your symptoms.
Come experience the difference!
Our strategy is simple, we tailor a specific plan of action to meet YOUR…
- Medical condition
- Physical condition
We provide you with the most comprehensive treatment possible by integrating advanced holistic medicine with conventional chiropractic care. This provides you with the highest chance of reaching your health goals.
HOW WILL WE DO THIS?
By listening to YOU… and taking your whole body into consideration before proposing your treatment plan. We won’t just treat your symptoms; we will treat your body.
Our holistic protocols are individualized to each case and condition. This means we give your body what it needs to heal its own tissue, remove the interference and accumulated waste allowing your body to return to its normal balance.
We treat people with conditions, not conditions which have people!
Meet Dr. Doug
Dr. Doug Patterson is a 1980 Graduate of Mishawaka High School and a 1985 Graduate of Bethel College. He taught in South Bend from 1987-1993. In 1993 Dr. Doug hurt his back and sought the care of a chiropractor. After several weeks & treatment he realized the benefits of chiropractic and got his whole family in as well. They too received the benefits of care. The “lights” went on in Dr. Doug’s head and he knew that he wanted to be a chiropractor. So, he left the teaching profession and enrolled at Life Chiropractic College, moved his wife and 4 young children to Marietta Georgia. Dr. Doug graduated in 1997 a Doctor of Chiropractic. He practiced in Georgia for 6 years before returning home to Indiana in 2003. He worked for an area chiropractor until 2007 when he then opened ProActive Health.
Dr. Doug’s young children are now adults and two of them have given he and his wife a total of three granddaughters with the fourth on the way. He’s thankful for such a wonderful family!
He and his wife enjoy long bike rides on their tandem and taking long weekends away.
