Chiropractic care is a safe and effective way to address a variety of physical issues, but some people may still have fears or concerns when it comes to chiropractic adjustments. At ProActive Health we understand that these fears can be common, but we want to reassure our patients that chiropractic care is safe, non-invasive, and can provide many benefits.

Here are some common fears people may have about chiropractic adjustments and how we address them at ProActive Health:

Fear #1: Chiropractic adjustments are painful.

It's natural to worry that a chiropractic adjustment may be painful, but in reality, most patients report feeling only mild discomfort, if any at all. Our chiropractors use gentle, non-invasive techniques to realign the spine, pelvis, and other joints. The adjustments should not be painful and can actually provide relief from discomfort and pain.

Moreover, our chiropractors take the time to listen to our patients and ensure that they are comfortable with the treatment plan. We encourage our patients to communicate any concerns or discomfort during the adjustment process so that we can make adjustments as needed.

Fear #2: Chiropractic adjustments can cause injury or make existing injuries worse.

While any medical treatment has some degree of risk, chiropractic adjustments are generally safe and non-invasive. Our chiropractors are highly trained and skilled in performing adjustments that are tailored to each individual patient's needs.

Moreover, chiropractic adjustments can actually help to prevent injuries from occurring in the first place. Regular adjustments can improve posture, balance, and overall mobility, reducing the risk of falls or other accidents.

If a patient does have an existing injury, our chiropractors will take extra precautions to ensure that the adjustment is performed safely and does not exacerbate the injury. We may also collaborate with other healthcare providers to provide a comprehensive approach to care.

Fear #3: Chiropractic adjustments are not based on scientific evidence.

Chiropractic care is actually supported by a significant amount of scientific research. Numerous studies have shown that chiropractic adjustments can be effective in treating a variety of physical issues, including back pain, neck pain, headaches, and more.

At ProActive Health, we stay up-to-date with the latest research and techniques in chiropractic care. We also collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure that our treatments are evidence-based and effective.

Fear #4: Chiropractic adjustments are not safe for everyone.

While chiropractic adjustments are generally safe and non-invasive, there are some cases in which they may not be recommended. For example, if a patient has a history of osteoporosis or has recently undergone surgery, our chiropractors may need to modify the treatment plan or recommend other forms of treatment.

At ProActive Health, we conduct a thorough evaluation of each patient's medical history and physical condition before recommending chiropractic care. We also encourage our patients to communicate any concerns or questions they may have about their treatment plan.
